Members of opposition parties, including the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have warned security personnel protecting demonstrators to desist from attacking them.
According to them, the security personnel, mostly members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilantes group, should not try to mar their peaceful demonstration by firing tea gas, rubber or life bullets and subjecting their members with arrest.
They said they would have no option than to start defending themselves from any form of brutality from the security agencies who are mandated by the constitution to protect law and order and not initiate violence.
Speaking to some aggrieved members, they said the demonstration continues until the Electiral Commission EC comes out to do the right thing.
They also said no amount of government intimidation will stop them from demonstrating and demanding for the right thing to be done by the EC.
Last week, 26 demonstrators have been arrested by the police I Accra for demonstrating at the office of the EC and have since being granted police enquiry bail.
