The most uninspiring, unfortunate, and disrespectful response I have ever heard from an IGP for years, is what Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh stared at the lenses of the press and indicated on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
“We are doing what we can to protect the people of Ghana. There is no society in the world where there is no crime. Even in the USA, UK, and Sweden, where they, more or less have everything, they still have crime. The only place that doesn’t have crime is heaven and we are not in heaven,”
An obvious declaration to his employer (Ghanaians/President Akufo-Addo) that, he is overwhelmed and outwitted by criminals and can not continue with the job as Inspector General of Police.
May I ask Mr. Oppong-Boanuh, sir, with all due respect, have you been to heaven before?
Well, I heard in your shameless media rant that, you are doing what you can to protect the people of Ghana, indeed, your can is not enough at all.
You will go down in history as the worse, unrepentant, clueless, and good for (nothing) doing what you can only, head of the Ghana Police Service.
President Akufo-Addo must fire this unfit and incompetent IGP in the supreme interest of Ghanaians and Citizens of the Republic of Ghana.
Mr. IGP, this is the more compelling reason for the police service to rather join us for the #FixTheCountry protest.
We need an enthusiastic, inspiring, and professional young officer to restore the lost integrity of the police, not loss talkers like you… I’m sorry sir, but you must go.
Resign or be sacked.
