According to the NDC kingpin, electoral fraud and violence at polling stations would continue to be the order of the day if the party do not ensure guenuine security personnel are deployed.
Additionally, as part of their plans to hold on to power, Alhaji Sherif has alleged that the State security agencies have been packed with party foot soldiers and vigilante boys to do the bidding of the NPP to remain in power.

For him, the president can send the entire Ghana army on Election Day, but the NDC must ensure free and free elections are held in any part of the country.
He warned that the Assin North by-election would not tolerate any lawlessness from the governing NPP.
“We are also ready to open fire when they open fire on us, they can’t continue to put the whole country in flames and go scort free, then they got it all wrong this time around”, he warned.
